Sort your party out

Once the guards are done speaking to Valley, you motion for her and Lagrand to come back inside.

You explain that Ranse has joined your group. You also equip her with your goblin knife, so she'll at least have a weapon.

"Oh, gnarly?" Valley replies. "I thought you guys were going to like... bang."

Ranse diverts her gaze. "Later. Maybe."

For now, you need to settle up on who's going to be active party. From the sound of it, Valley has... a couple of things to take care of.

"Yeah," she says. "It's like... whatever, you know? That job was totally lame anyway. I need to go get my things and, like... I dunno, maybe do some shopping?"

You give Valley some of your money--

Actually, you probably need new clothes, as well. It'll draw attention if you're still running around dressed like a guard.

"It's cool," Valley says. "I can, like, buy you some stuff. Any clue what you want?"

You realize that you hadn't... really thought about it.

If you dressed in normal, casual peasant attire, it would be less conspicuous. You could just walk around like a normal citizen of the kingdom, and not an enchanter or anything crazy like that. On the other hand, people might not take you as seriously, and that kind of clothing isn't ideal for comfortable travel OR combat.

If you dressed like an actual enchanter... well, for starters, you would look like an actual enchanter. Mage clothing is always really comfortable, and though it doesn't stand up to attacks very well, you can... uhhh... remove it quickly.

Leather armor is about the beefiest your fragile mage body can handle. It's still a bit cumbersome, and wearing armor makes you look like a tough fighter type--for good or bad. The defense increase is nice, but armor also takes longer to remove. ...Which may be an issue for you, in particular as of late.

Enchanter definitely. Go all the way for the look

Depending on how much the outfits cost, it might not be a bad idea to pick up one of each to keep in our inventory. Hopefully the clothes are unisex in nature so it won't really matter if you are in your male or female form. If it's too expensive to get all three, I suggest enchanters clothing first with leather armor and peasent attire as the 2nd and 3rd choices.

Valley definitely needs some armor though. Practical armor
(with maybe some quick release straps 8p )

While we wait for Valley to come back with the new clothes we should lay low and stay out of sight of the guards. Perhaps experiment with Ranse and get some sleep. We've still got a lot to do come the morning.

I think outfits transform with the person as otherwise that piecemail would have probably popped off when Nast transformed.

The top DID get hiked up substantially; it might not have transformed so much as been pushed around :P

i like the mage clothes in yellow. nast was wearing purple before, at least this might set them apart from the impostor.

+1 I like the yellow coloured outfit as well
Tentechoes 10th May 2018, 8:12 AM edit delete reply
+1 so that we can be different from the panty thief ;0

Go for enchanter. While leather armor is good for defensive reasons we typically have Nast talk/fuck their way out of situations so more comfortable and easily stripped clothing could be nice. Also dress the part, be the part.

However, I’m not sure about the tanking capabilities of our current party. Valley and slightly more recently Inzo were very often used to block and bulldoze through situations. So our overall defense might be a bit lower.

I’m still in favor of the enchanter robes personally.(Also it offers the most facial obscurity to help with the identical to the Panty Thief issue)

(Also if there’s more options for colour of the outfit my choice would be a nice cerise, out of the ones shown though yellow)

Put on thy robe and wizard hat.

I like the mage clothes in blue.

Personally, I also dig the yellow look--but if peasant attire is nice and cheap, it might be worth having a set on hand for, y'know, actual disguise purposes. We still have to sort out a longer-term solution than just gender-bender potions.

Valley definitely deserves at least a solid chest piece, though--especially given her, uh, weak point. She came to our rescue, after all. Twice! In a way!

+1 to giving Valley new armor. She has been with us the longest ;0

Go for the enchanterclothes in blue.
Maybe there's some way to dye the hair?

We should establish some sort of base soon.
For starters we can regroup in the slimecave.
Valley knows where it is and the potion should wear off soon anyway.
The KingSlime is probably interested in trying 'recreational mating' with both forms.
From there we can then go to the goblintribe drink another potion and have 24 hours with the tribe.

Ooh, yeah, we should ask our newfound Potionseller if she has a way to dye hair. I'd say purple looks good? Paired with yellow mage armor.
Greyscale 10th May 2018, 8:54 AM edit delete reply
Yellow with purple hair sounds good let's us keep out color identity
Terrac 10th May 2018, 9:21 AM edit delete reply
Start off with enchanter clothes, buy commoner's clothing as backup and by the armor once we have the time and money to worry.

I know I'm outvoted here, but I think we'd be better off with the peasant clothes. It would be nice to have the enchanter's outfit, but we're trying to be inconspicuous. We can always hope that our Je Ne Sais Quoi can help people take us more seriously, but it is best for right now until we can clear our name that we look as little like the panty thief as we can. Dyeing our hair does sound like a good idea, though.

Purple Enchanter is high fashion. Blue as a second choice.

Also, I say we head west after this and find some ladies of the night to handle the goblins. Alternatively/even better tell the spider where to go for free goblin juice packs while Inzo isn't paying attention.

I'm all for getting inspiration, but those goblins do not know how to treat a lady.

As an aside: try to get the perverted alchemist and Inzo talking shop. Maybe they can balance each other out some, or at least build some cool stuff.
Shadoe 10th May 2018, 1:36 PM edit delete reply
I vote blue enchanter
