You decide to let the spider go on about its spidery business.

...You do ask, though, if the spider might know someone willing to have sex with a ridiculous number of goblins.

"I do not. Sorry, frriend."

You also ask--incidentally--if the spider might know someone willing to EAT a ridiculous number of goblins.

"That, I could definitely help vith."

We'll file that under Last Resort options. Inzo would probably not approve.

You explain to your party members that the spider is no longer trying to eat you, and you can all safely leave it alone.

You have a peek through the big hole... drain... pipe thing in the wall. It definitely goes somewhere, you just can't get a good look at where to--it seems to lead off into a different part of the temple. The entrance is pretty narrow, though--of your current party, you suspect only you and Lagrand could fit through it. Maybe Inzo if he ditched the mech, but that might be a hard sell.

You and your party head through the door at the end of the room. In the next room, you see what the giant spider was talking about--there's another door, but it looks very solidly blocked. You don't see a handle or a lock anywhere, and with it being made of solid stone... well, even Inzo and Valley would struggle to put a dent in it.

"Fairy not close door alonesies," Inzo points out. "Door too heavy."

"An astute observation," Lagrand replies. "Indeed... there must be a switch, a lever... something of the sort to operate the door."

"Let's hope it's, like, on THIS side of the door?," adds Valley. "If they've totally locked themselves in, we're like... kinda stuck."

Knock politely and shout into any vents we can find.

Throw gob juice in an attempt to blow up the door

Inspect the room. There is what looks like 2 windows or pictureframes with some remnants in it. At the doorframe is some dent on one side, maybe a switch or it is damaged. Otherwise simply looking for hidden switches or levers in the walls and in the floor and ceiling.

Search for switches.

+1, also search for any hidden passageways or other small fairy sized nooks and crannies. There may be something more than a switch.

i know this says "search for switches" and yet every time i glance at it i see "switch for switches"
Wolfe 1st May 2018, 4:55 PM edit delete reply
+1 try knocking and if that fails look for switches.

Love all these suggestions. Well the blood goddess one scares me a little, but I mean, yeah. But... don’t we kind of have a spell that might make that heavily enforced door be, um, less so? I say we look around a tad, if we find nothing to open the door, deinforce it, and have Valley and Inzo’s mech hit it at the same time.

Also while we’re at it, reinforce that cracked pillar. If the shock of Inzo’s Mech and Valleys club rattle the walls, it’d be nice if the one remaining pillar didn’t give out. Hate to get squished by a falling unsupported ceiling.

+1 to reinforcing the single intact-but-cracked pillar. Besides the apparent notch on the doorframe and behind the picture frames (unless they're windows) a good place to look for a hidden switch is that little square dot below the fairy-shaped blotch. Also, +1 to just knocking. Can't hurt, and nonviolent nonconfrontational polite methods have been ridiculously successful so far.

We already know a female who might be willing to sleep with a ridiculous number of goblins; the protaganist with a disguise potion.

Probably also the potion seller in the starter town given what he uses his disguise potions for.
