The mushrooms hiss and chomp, slowly approaching. You draw your wand and Valley pulls out her club, as it doesn't seem like the killer fungi will be open to discussion.

You slap Inzo's mech, casting Reinforce on it. Its duration is until the item breaks, so you don't have to worry about a time limit. Deinforce, like its opposite, only works on objects--effective on golems, perhaps, but probably not on living, breathing mushrooms.

Valley goes after one mushroom while Inzo pursues another. The third mushroom seems to hang back a bit, waiting for an opportunity to clear through the crowd.

You thrust your wand at the mushroom Valley's fighting.

It... shoots wind. A slightly strong wind, strong enough to whip Valley's hair around, but not enough to move the mushroom any.

Valley holds her club sideways, using it to hold off the mushroom while it tries to bite her. "Are you, like, using that thing right?"

You're not sure, actually. You've never used a wand before.

Valley pushes the mushroom off, sending it stumbling back. With an opening and some distance cleared, she goes for an overhead swing. You steel yourself, and thrust the wand forward again.

Valley slams the club down on top of the mushroom. It doesn't take out the mushroom outright, surprisingly--they're pretty resilient monsters. It does, however, squeeze something out of the creature. As soon as Valley makes impact, a thick mist is forced from the mushroom's mouth.

You point your wand at precisely that moment, firing a stream of air... and blowing away the strange vapor before Valley breathes it in. Valley takes a step back, throwing a confused glance to you.

You look over at Inzo, who was... not so lucky in his brawl with the mushroom. The last plumes of pale green mist fade around him as he slumbers, sitting upright in his mech. Apparently, the mushrooms' gas puts people to sleep.

With Inzo temporarily disabled, the two farther mushrooms begin to move toward you and Valley. The mushroom closest to you has taken a pretty good hit and looks a bit dazed, but isn't out of the fight yet.

Suggest that valley pull her shirt over her mouth, then wrap your fashionable cape robe scarf around your mouth, and push aside the small Gob. If those mushies can survive a direct hit from Valley your sword probably won’t help much. Just try not to break the goblin tech. Probably wouldn’t hurt to chuck a non reinforced gob juice at the shrooms if you have any before you go about messing with the mech.

Ok, these things look top-heavy. And unless I missed some arms, they're gonna have a hard time if Valley goes for low, sweeping attacks instead of hitting them on their bulbous heads. Our wind can aid in unbalancing them. If flooring them works, I'd suggest using our sword. Since it's a slashing weapon, the force of the attack will be less likely to make them vommit sleeping gas.

Actually, the sword might work better since it's a slashing kind of weapon, as opposed to the blunt mace and mech's fists. The mech is also not scaled to the right size for us to control properly in all likelihood as well. However, we should still have some vials of that exploding Gob juice left to use. If not, SOL?

Maybe cuts hurt them worse than bashes. Try the sword yourself only if Valley won't. You try blowing sand/dust/leaves in the faces of the two not yet engaged. Unless we have gob juice left. Explosions inside their maws are likely to be effective.

Can Valley use the Wand? It uses the power of the wielder so probably that means the physical stronger Valley produces a stronger wind.

The sword should be able to cut the Mushrooms.

No idea how to wake Inzo yet.

Sleep effects are usually disrupted by taking damage. Slap him a little and see if that works

We used all gob juice here there should be nothing left.

Stab the mushroom monsters with the wand, then cast "wind" with it inside them. We might be able to burst them. If that doesn't work, switch to the sword (remember, apply the *sharp* parts to bad guys, not the blunt sides). +1 to putting our cape over our face regardless.

Might be a good idea to slash at the mushrooms with our sword, but only if we can be super-ready to use the wand to blow any spores that erupt away from us. Knowing mushroom enemies, they'll erupt in spores upon taking slashing damage, too.

True, but at least they might DIE, instead of just get stunned, like what the mushroom fighting Valley is.
