You all discuss everything you've discovered thus far, including some of the stranger ones.

"We must keep an eye out for inappropriate top hats, then," comments Lagrand with a faint smile.

"And especially glamorous fish," adds Emmy.

Valley nods. "Like, if I were a fish, and I got caught? I'd toootally get outta there."

"Inzo agrees," agrees Inzo. "Fish of the wishes has likely sneakses off! Should be caught more, might be harder to find the next times."

"What are your thoughts on the ippon-datara, Inzo?," Lagrand inquires. "I believe we left some notes for you in the party journal..."

"Oh, Inzo is VERY full of interest," the goblin replies. "Will think of best way to make shrine. More build power, never a bad things. Goblobster good--the best, maybe--but needs missiles. Big ones."

You also take the time to discuss the next step. After some deliberation, you decide that you, Inzo, and Emerald should head to the submerged cavern, which was discovered to be frequented by pirates at some point. Inzo's new mech makes him well suited to the task if the cave is flooded, and Emerald being a slime means she can cram into the mech in an emergency. Plus, you personally should probably avoid towns, especially Threeroads, until you can get a more consistent disguise.

Justice, Ranse, and Valley will return to Threeroads, and start inquiring about a disguise ring, the knights, and the supply of disguise potions. The thieves guild knows SOMETHING, that much is clear--they're not just gathering up disguise supplies for nothing.

"The presence of knights in Threeroads is also beginning to draw my suspicion," Lagrand comments. "That dark elf you lot encountered in Peace Calling, and the sahagin bounty hunter--both were able to track you to your home town. You were actually CAUGHT in Humblestart. Neither town is being occupied by royal knights, are they?"

"Y-... you think," Ranse pauses, gathering her thoughts, "theknightsknowsomething. They're... n-not releasing. To the public."

"I'm not yet certain what I think," Lagrand says with a smile, "only that there is more going on than we are privy to."

"I agree," Justice states. "What is being presented, and how people were discussing it in town... something about it does not sit well with what is actually happening."

Valley grins. "I like that Lagrand, like, totally didn't question his role in our next move?"

Lagrand tosses his hair aside, smoothly transitioning the act into a huge shrug. "I have a spell to finish developing, and further contemplating to do upon this mystery. My work is more than cut out for me."

"Oh, totally," Valley chuckles.

"As a fellow mage," Lagrand continues, "Nast and I have a deep understanding--I knew what he saw for me without his even uttering it. Such is the sacred bond between mages."

You also want Lagrand to babysit your chicken until it grows up.

"...Oh." A bit of the wind seems to fade from Lagrand's sails. Also, his cape. "Well, I suppose I can find the time to manage that amidst all the pondering I'll be doing."

You also comment that you want to see Lagrand in the bunny outfit, at some point--something something sacred bonds between mages and all that.

Lagrand's grin relights. "Do not tempt me, enchanter. I may seek to remove you from that outfit on principle. ...It truly is a very silly costume."

"Inzo is not sure," interjects the goblin, squinting behind his goggles, "how chicken talk took these sharp turnses."

"Well, like," Valley shrugs her shoulders, "they ARE still talking about cocks...?"

Ranse sighs. "As much as I... w-wanttoseeyouguysbangagain, we need, to focus."

The King Slime nods. "Our chicken infant does need to be fed soon, does it not? ...I am genuinely asking, as I am not familiar with poultry child habits outside of our book's suggestions."

Thus far you've been feeding the chicken healing items, with a little bit of straight holy water. You kind of want to maintain that theme, though you're starting to run out of things to give it, at least in terms of variety. You could feed the chicken recovereats, you suppose, but--

"Like, nobody should have to choke down a recovereat?," Valley states. "Not even chickens. They're kind of the lamest, and like... we should totally be spoiling our chicken baby?"

You look at Valley... and then, more specifically, at Valley's huge titties.

A grin slowly inches across her face. "Okay, like-- I know what you're thinking? I think? But we'll totes have to work something out 'cuz like, I'm not letting a beak near my boobs."

After brief discussion of the... logistics of the whole thing, you take one of your empty bottles, and Valley tugs her big breasts out. After sucking at one of her stiff nipples for a bit (y'know... just to get it started), you begin milking her into the bottle, kneading and squeezing at her enormous tits.

Emmy, slightly bewildered, casts a glance around the ranch. "My understanding of non-slime culture is still lacking, but... would an act such as this normally be performed in public?"

"Not normally, no," Lagrand replies, lightly shaking his head. "Though I suppose normal is relative."

"Inzo not object," adds the goblin in the crab robot.

Valley does give a look to Justice, as if asking her to join--however, Justice blushes brightly, and waves a hand. It does seem like Justice, at least, has some reservations about partaking in front of such a large crowd.

Once you've spent... well, maybe a little too much time playing with Valley's breasts, and making a slight mess trying to aim milk into a bottle, she shoves her gigantic breasts back into her top.

You retrieve the baby cockadoo from your inventory. The chicken is... still sleeping, somehow, but after petting it a bit with your finger, it stirs, cheeping confusedly.

"Oh... my gods, it's totally the cutest?," Valley squeals. "Like, it is way too adorbs."

"Aww," Justice adds, "that is a very sweet baby."

You give the baby chicken Valley's healing milk. As before, the chicken consumes... way, way more than you thought it could, before falling back asleep.

"He's so sleepy," Justice giggles.

"A part of the transformation process, I would wager," comments Lagrand. "The bird is likely stockpiling energy with which to transfigure into its adult form. It should be easy to care for until then, at least."

With that settled, the parties established and the goals set, you cast Reinforce on Inzo's mech. It does feel a bit more draining, reinforcing a larger object--but Reinforce is still a pretty small spell, so even stretching it like this isn't a huge hit to your mana. And with that, you all set out on your separate paths.

...Well, almost.

You take a quick stop by the front desk to flirt with the rancher's assistant.

During the conversation, she keeps giggling, and fighting to keep her eyes off your very skimpy briefs.

"Look," she finally says with a wild grin, "much as I like ya showin' off what ya got, them clothes..." her grin widens just a little, "geez, they are jus' too much. Is that really what adventurers are wearin' these days?"

Alas, the sad truth is that we can not get out of that much too sexy outfit. We need a helping hand, and are too embarrassed to ask our companions.
Would she, maybe, be willing to give us a hand ? Noone else could right now. And it's getting really tight in there, moreso as we are near her, actually.
Clearly fate has chosen her.

Let's be charming.
We don't have to get on our way right now after all.

And i'm curious to see what will come out of Lagrand and that Mandragora.
Speaking of witchboi, now that we know the mystery coffin is fairly recent and definitely not old enough to shelter an archmage, should we ask him if he knows anything ?
Could have asked the fairies as well, but heh.
JiggilyJoe 17th Jul 2018, 5:58 PM edit delete reply
Please please please!

Edit: we can always explain to her that it helps us get lucky. ;)
Korsha 17th Jul 2018, 6:15 PM edit delete reply
Charming is probably the best course of action for Nast, But I really want to see him be bold.
Like, agree with her that the outfit is a little much, and then just strip out of it in front of her, see how she reacts.
Iago 17th Jul 2018, 6:39 PM edit delete reply
Oh, almost forgot : have they seen the Summoner pass through here recently?

+1 to charming and +1 to asking about that weird dark elf with the math and stuff. I honestly wonder what her class is . . .

I agree, that outfit looks much too tight to remove without assistance...
MakePeaceAndLove 17th Jul 2018, 11:27 PM edit delete reply
We definitely need to take this opportunity with the rancher girl. However, I find that joke with 'nobody but her can remove it' to be a little much.

So, +1 to Korsha's suggestion to simply agree with her and strip out of it, right then and there.

About the Summoner and dark elf mathematician, I'm also curious about them but let's NOT ask that question, at least until we're done with the sexy times, shall we?

Why wuold you look at that, we even have a bottle of rum to share! It's no wine by the fireplace, but this is more of a 'whiskey' environment anyways. Close enough.

Sweet merciful crap, we have eight Old Iron Swords in out inventory. Either Lagrand should sell them while he's on break or Inzo should find some use with them.
Crestlinger 17th Jul 2018, 6:28 PM edit delete reply
Reinforced sword missiles! Because why not?
Some Random Guy 17th Jul 2018, 6:42 PM edit delete reply

Pretty good idea, but if we do find a new use for these swords, keep one left for Nast, since he has occasionally utilized one. Swords aren't his strongest trait, but it would be nice to have some bit of skill with weapons that aren't in his preferences, just in case he's forced to use weapons other than his preferences in a situation.
Korsha 17th Jul 2018, 7:13 PM edit delete reply
Do you think Enchanters can learn some kind of telekinesis or animation? Like above mentioned, Sword Missiles, or maybe a pair of floating swords, like a dualwielding ghost warrior?
CruntKnockler 18th Jul 2018, 4:06 AM edit delete reply
Or maybe some kind of throw-and-return type spell. Get all Devil My Cry on some fools, like a longsword boomerang.
Rent 17th Jul 2018, 8:21 PM edit delete reply
Can Inzo like, stick a bunch of reinforced swords on a wooden shield and give his mech a throwing star? Might as well go full gundam at this point...

I want to watch Evangelion not only because I've heard that it's great, but also for the sake of cracking some witty mecha puns every now and then.
MakePeaceAndLove 17th Jul 2018, 11:31 PM edit delete reply
I wouldn't mind those sword missiles or sword-shuriken idea. In general if we can craft something with these then awesome, if not, we can always sell them later.
ZincFingers 18th Jul 2018, 12:45 AM edit delete reply
The only right solution is to make Sword-Chucks
Ghest 18th Jul 2018, 3:36 AM edit delete reply
No reason for Lagrand to sell them. Valley, Justice, and Ranse are already going to Threeroads so if we're selling anything they can do that while they're there.

MakePeaceAndLove 17th Jul 2018, 11:33 PM edit delete reply
We asked her and the rancher a lot of questions yesterday. Let's stay focused on her and save any questions for after the fun, shall we?

May as well shoot for inspiration.

Also, I genuinely laughed at Valley's 'still talking about cock' reply.

Does Inzo's new mech still have the air filters? Because that might make the Goblobster less suited to water than we think.
MakePeaceAndLove 17th Jul 2018, 11:34 PM edit delete reply
I actually think that's a new and different mech than his old one. So he'd have to install those from scratch. But, who knows, with that technology maybe they could work as underwater turbines for better propulsion?
Guest 18th Jul 2018, 1:59 AM edit delete reply
The lore pages say he still has air filter as an ability, so it would seem that he now incorporates them into every mech he makes. Presumably they are adapted for underwater use, either they shut off automatically or can filter water too.
Crazy Eights 17th Jul 2018, 10:26 PM edit delete reply
Maybe we shoukd have justice pray for our chicken and cast healong on it? Since we're going for a healing cockadoo, if it is magic then maybe it will affect the chicken and if it's a goddess maybe she'll do something. May be unlikely but worth a shot i think.
MakePeaceAndLove 17th Jul 2018, 11:36 PM edit delete reply
I don't think that casting a spell on it counts as actually feeding it, since that's not really food, but maybe it does absorb magic? It's worth a shot either way.
ZincFingers 18th Jul 2018, 4:30 AM edit delete reply
Hmmm, on that line of thought, if we catch another Antidote Albacore, we should cast poison of the chick before feeding it the fish... who knows, might help encourage the development of an innate poison resistance.
G. Sansa 18th Jul 2018, 11:37 AM edit delete reply
Also, cast reinforce on any solid food before feeding it to the chick. More reinforcing magic, more hit points; and more imprinting on Nast's magic.
GS 18th Jul 2018, 8:58 AM edit delete reply
We could, however, ask her to finally hold a service for those bones we took out of Grandpa's tomb.
G. Sansa 18th Jul 2018, 11:38 AM edit delete reply
I think we should look for somewhere appropriate to bury our bone piles. Perhaps somewhere watered by the holy water stream in the forest? But yes, that should be on the list of things to do.
MakePeaceAndLove 17th Jul 2018, 11:44 PM edit delete reply
That was a fun update. I especially liked that exchange between Nast and Lagrand, with everyone's reactions to their flirting (especially Ranse trying so hard to stay focused!), that and Valley's milking made it super fun (of course Inzo doesn't mind).

Also, thinking back to the fish o' wishes, looking back on it from less of a story and more of an RPG mechanic perspective - it feels like that kind of random event with a rare chance of happening, it might get slightly more common as we get better rods (like, from 1% to 3%, at best 5%?) but there is no catch to it, just suspicious dialogue around a one-off upgrade. Thinking of it that way, sure we can hope we'll catch one again later, but we shouldn't particularly fish for it - just, keep trying to fish whenever we get a chance, if we catch one cool, if not, maybe next time.

Although what I wonder about is, when we manage to catch a fish o' wishes (since the Kuo-Toa caught this one for us), we should ask if it remembers us from the previous encounter (at least the three that were in this party, so Valley, Justice and Lagrand, even though it seemed to know who all of our party members were). In short, is it the same fish? Or are there many fish o' wishes out there?

Also save those unimpressive trout to use as bait when fishing later, rather than feed them to our chick. They'd probably suffice to give it a water affinity but I'd prefer to feed it fish with actual effects tied to them, even the albacores from Peace Calling. Since it's storing energy to mature, every meal should count.
JiggilyJoe 18th Jul 2018, 12:19 AM edit delete reply
Yeah, I agree with all this. I seriously doubt we will run into the wish fish again.

On the flip side, Nast is our best fisherman, so maybe on the way to the cave we should stop by the dock and see what he can catch first.

Just looking at the map, other spots for our future fishing trips...

Witch’s Wood (river?)
Humblestart (ponds?)
Bridge by the Goblin Village
Inside the Submerged Cave.
Peace Calling (Already visited)
Coast by the Goblin Village and Slime Cavern

At some point we should check out the SE corner of coast. It's one of the biggest unexplored land areas on our current map, along with the forest across from Threebroads and the mountains.

Mention that we got the bunny outfit from completing the challenge of a Challenge Elemental and that it actually does us some useful abilities. (Our Je Ne Sais Quoi should hopefully prevent it from sounding like we're being too boastful.) Follow that up with, "But if you think I should take them off. . . "

No sex without names and honesty. Flirting is great but if we're not clear that she wants a dalliance knowing that's all it is, suddenly getting naked is too much.
