Morgenstern
You stop to make sure everyone's okay. Ranse chugs one of her health concoctions, and Inzo is already starting to patch up his wooden mech.

You ask Ranse about those books she mentioned.

...You think you see the faintest hint of a blush from Ranse. She looks away very quickly. "I. Panicked. Idon't. KnowwhatIsaid."

"Hume definitely said weird books," replies Inzo.

About raunchy tentacle romance, you add.

Ranse's cheeks puff out. Her gaze dances around wildly for a second, but alas, she can see no escape. "I... mighthaveread. Some books. About tentacle monsters. Dirty ones."

Having read some books sounds a little different from wanting a raunchy tentacle romance.

"OkayImighthavereadabunch," Ranse blurts out. "And... w-written some. Just forget I mentioned it!"

"But hume is a writer!," Inzo responds. "Inzo wants to see hume's work."

"Noooyoudon't," Ranse insists. "I... it's... no. Nonono. Forgetit. Forget. It."

You do actually kind of want to borrow a couple of her books. The King Slime you've been wanting to woo is mostly self taught, and uh... you suspect she could self-teach some things from those books. Tentacle things.

Ranse's eyes widen behind her lenses. The blush reignites. "We'lltalkaboutitlater! W-we... we need to... figure out, what to do with these materials. Rightnow."

From the last battle, you acquired irregular foliage and pyre ant parts. You cast Identify on both; neither are magical, though they may still have alchemical properties.

"We... c-could sell. All of it. We do need... money," says Ranse. "My... chem thrower, won't improve by s-slapping more... pyre ant parts on it."

"Inzo could use parts for plating," states Inzo. "Could make mech suit burn resist! Could also make... jet thrusterses."

"T-that's... probably. Not a good idea," replies Ranse. "Pyre ants... don't have, that much oomph. T-trust me. Th... the range on my weapon s-sucks. And... rockets on a w-wooden mech, is a disaster w-waiting to happen."

"...These thingses are true," says Inzo with a sagely nod. "Maybe Inzo just add plating then. Jetses later."

You give the pyre ant parts to Inzo so he can start working on burn resistant plating. The three of you head past the roadside cathedral, toward the southern beach.

You have two things you can prioritize when you arrive: looking for more monsters to hunt on the beach, or exploring the beach for anything else unusual (such as people and locations).

+1 This is shaping up amazingly. Only, what? Not even a tenth of blood is mine... Just means there's so much more to err... come ;)

Keep up the excellent work!

Feels like old dnd`ing minus the die rolls and tactical movement. Back to the roots: Players arguing, and the DM(tm) improvising the details, screwing up some of the players intentions and adapts the narrative with the rules of fun, cool and sexy .

As it's starting to get dark, probably unusual stuff, if we want to explore, we can always stay the night here or come back tomorrow. I'm inclined to this, though there's a case to be made for just finding a monster and then heading back to Threeroads to sort out accommodation.
Green Visitor 27th May 2018, 6:58 PM edit delete reply
+1 search for the unusuals, NasTranZo aren`t too well equipped for monsters underwater or lurking in the sand.

Having the party play around in impro swimsuits sometime could teach us if windwand is even effective in water and whether Mecha sinks or floats (Prob best not to drown the pyrespewer).

Camping and partying on the beach afterwards may be safer and cheaper than town. Maybe romantic too.

The rest of the party may come around eventually if we want them to, after we resolve any unusuals. Word of God says "Apparently, your party members automatically know when you're trying to gather them or switch members out, at least in safe places like towns. Such is the power of the party system."

+1 for search for unusual stuff then setting up camp.

If we're heading to the beach, I think its time for a beach party. Also who doesn't want to see Lagrand in swimsuit?
Also, Nast needs to convince Justice to Romp with him, maybe she can inspire him with a healing spell. The more heals the better
Sparky* 27th May 2018, 4:58 PM edit delete reply
Also Sweet. If Nast romps with her then maybe our jai ne se quois can get upgraded? idk
Green Visitor 27th May 2018, 7:10 PM edit delete reply
An upgrade would be Dieu sait quoi .

THAT wording is most thematically likely if we try on the Justice league.
Barswanian 27th May 2018, 7:44 PM edit delete reply
+1 Justice & Sweet party.

+1. It's about time that things get a little more serious with Lagrand!

We should go to the beach there is probably some sort of campground or rest area there that we can use.(possibly for some fun times with Ranse we've been waiting for) Then explore the beach and hunt the monsters that congregate around it in the morning.

Possibly look for caves that may or may not be tucked away in the possible cliff sides.

Explore the beach.
Maybe some training with the wind wand.
Just try a few new moves out in the direction of the water.
See if you can lift a bit of water with your tornado, could be useful for fights near a watersource for splashing the enemies.

Just thinking, my idea of a lightning-cannon.
Electric eels can produce electricity so there are possible enemies for that.

In the end I would like to gather as much different attack types as possible for the chem throwers such as poison, electricity, water, wind and what else goes.
Then after we have all of these we prepare the tradesmen ritual to trade them up for a multipurpose gatling chem thrower :)
SolomontheLionheart 27th May 2018, 6:07 PM edit delete reply
Although ants aren't particularly famous for their fire breathing abilities, so it could be practically any lightning creature, but I like the res

+1 to training with the wind wand. It seems to have become our main weapon.

Beach could be an opportunity for both monster hunting and additional debauchery/fun with Justice, Ranse, Sweet and whoever we can get there, in swimwear, naked or however they prefer to swim and such.

+1 Ditto to this idea!
SolomontheLionheart 27th May 2018, 6:08 PM edit delete reply
We should consider a more permanent solution to accommodation, but in the mean time get another tent? Although I don't really want to spend money if we can avoid it
Korsha 27th May 2018, 6:34 PM edit delete reply
Explore the beach. Use the wand on the dry sand, it's light enough to blow large swaths away at a time, and you might find shallowly buried treasure!
Barswanian 27th May 2018, 7:16 PM edit delete reply
Probably avoid the water. I expect Inzo mech and flamethrowers not to do well. :/
Kblitz 27th May 2018, 7:55 PM edit delete reply
Jellyfish, shark teeth, abalone glue, octopus suckers. The beach might have quite the variety of sources for magical leveraging.

We need to be thinking about an act, for Entertainers' Guild entry. Wand flying and je ne sais quoi are good ingredients. Of the characters already in the party, Valley and Lagrand seem the most promising as thespians; of those who aren't, Slime King and Sweet.

- Sweet made getting into the EG her quest for us so she's a no go.
- Slime King would be better at it if she had inspiration from Ranse's books.
- Lagrand and/or Ranse might know some myths to inspire a "classier" act, and help it advance the plot at the same time.
- Valley is Valley.

So yes, let's do beach stuff, since we're here. But I think going back and recruiting Slimey to our party — just temporarily, for building an act for the Entertainers — is a good idea. If we need to convince her, we can tell her that it'll help get an entertainer for the goblins.

Also, Slimey romp!
